Breaking Dawn Breaks Fandango’s Mobile Ticket Sales Record

The latest flick in the Twilight saga is breaking records faster than wolf man Jacob can take off his shirt.
First, we learned The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part One scarfed up $283.5 million on opening weekend, topping its series predecessors on global ticket sales.
And now, the movie holds Fandango’s record for highest percentage of mobile movie tickets sold.Fandango revealed Monday that 22% of its Breaking Dawn tickets sales were purchased on mobile devices during the weekend. The previous percentage record belonged to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (19%), which still has Fandago’s record for the largest quantity of mobile tickets sold.
“Mobile has changed the way we go to the movies,” says Rick Butler, Fandango’s EVP and general manager.
Mashable recently detailed Fandango’s “Mobile Ticket” feature that gives mobile ticket buyers a 2D barcode to present to theater ticket takers for a faster movie-going experience. The feature, along with the company’s mobile website redesign earlier in 2011, likely contributed to Breaking Dawn‘s Fandango record.

Is this relieving...?

After all there's been a news in the market that petrol prices in India will see a decline from tomorrow on-wards . From last year we have seen price hike in petrol for about 13 odd times and the recent hike was of Rs. 1.80 per litre and this is considered as the roll back from the government.

After deregulation of oil companies it's the first time they have announced the cut in petrol prices. The reduction will vary from state to state and in Delhi, petrol will be cheaper by Rs. 2.22 per litre.
